Table Tennis

Whether you are an experienced player, a beginner or somewhere in between, we’d love you to join us. All ages and genders welcome.

We play in Leeds Table Tennis League, with 8 teams in all and are always looking to expand those teams. We also have a good complement of people who play for the sheer enjoyment of the sport, well known for developing and maintaining agility and concentration.

Summer League and Box League

Less formal ways of competing are also on offer. We always put several teams into Leeds Summer League, and we have a 5-division in-club box league, where members compete with each other, and players are promoted or demoted at the end of each month. It’s great fun and offers everyone a chance to meet different players, league and non-league.

Please get in touch! You will find us friendly and welcoming!

Please follow our new Facebook page for updates and information about the club.

Hearty congratulations to our club members for scooping a whole array of awards at last week's 2024/25 Leeds League Presentation evening, hosted by Pudsey Table Tennis Club!

Our A team, headed by Shahriar Masoudi, won the League for the 6th consecutive year by coming top in Division One. It is a tremendous achievement in a fiercely competitive league. Shahriar also came top in Division One's individual averages.

Pictured above are our B team, receiving their trophy for coming top of Division Two. Left to right - Tony Howgate, Carl O'Connor, Daniel Nicholson and Bob Bond received their award from Granville Thornton, Vice Chairman of the Leeds League (second from right). Reza Rajabi was also in the team.

Pictured above (L) is Carl O'Connor, receiving his award for achieving the best average in Division Two. Congratulations, Carl!

Joe Matthews (R) picks up his trophy for winning the Leeds Closed Handicap Doubles. On behalf of his team, YMCA E, he also picks up the runners up trophy for the Martin Grayson Cup (Division 4 knockout cup).

Thanks to our winners for their hard work, dedication and sheer love of the wonderful sport of table tennis! Thanks to everyone in our club who participated in Leeds League in the 2024/25 season. Even if you didn't win a trophy, your efforts are still greatly appreciated.

As a club, we are proud of our members, some of whom are involved in table tennis at a very high level.

One of our members, Vincenzo Chiarello has recently become an umpire, and regularly travels abroad to officiate at international tournaments.

Here he is pictured below, at the 2025 National Championships in Nottingham, where he is shown umpiring the women’s final, which was won by Tin-Tin Ho.

‘The hardest part is to keep impartial and not to cheer the amazing rallies/points they play!’ he says.
