YMCA Leeds is an independent local charity that is governed, owned and accountable to the local community. Its Board of Management is made up of users of the facilities and local individuals who have an historical connection with the YMCA. The Boards main focus is to provide programmes and services for young people and children that are accessible and provide opportunities that allow the development of body, mind and spirit.
The YMCA activities reflect our commitment to providing services and opportunities for all people in the community. Within this the YMCA focus is on young people, in the belief that if you develop young people, you build strong future communities where young people truly belong, contribute and thrive.
Leeds YMCA will continue to provide a quality programme which stimulates and challenges people, especially the young. The services will be catered for in a caring, warm and friendly environment in buildings which are of the highest standard.
The values of the Association are:
