CPD Scheme
What we do
Our current links with schools have helped us to provide Continued Professional Development (CPD) schemes through YMCA packages for many teachers across a wide range of sports including Gymnastics, Athletic, Tag Rugby, Multi Sports, Uni Hockey and Netball. This includes up to 30 full days within an academic year using the National curriculum whilst working alongside teachers and children.
Throughout the many years, teachers have been present at the sessions taking notes and assisting in the delivery of the session whilst asking appropriate and relevant questions to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities, whilst pupils all participated with enthusiasm and enjoyed the sessions.

Our CPD Packages
YMCA can offer Continued Professional Development within schools in different tiers, ranging from 30 sessions within a full academic year using the national curriculum or a block of half day, full day or lunchtime packages are also available.
Each package will include:
- 1 x YMCA coach who is DBS checked, professionally qualified and highly experienced.
- Scheme of work with detailed session plans and a list of skills per chosen sporting activity.
- On-going assessment with verbal and written feedback.
- All teachers/TA’s will receive a training and development Certificate of Achievement & Attendance.
Alternatively, we offer a full range of lunchtime or after school clubs with a wide range of sports available.
